Banteay Srei

Although 40 or so kilometers away from Siem Reap, the ride to Banteay Srei was worth it. Initially, I found the site very small, but it certainly makes up for this in the exquisite detail of the carvings.

This place was heavily guarded and only a small section was spared for a walkway around the small complex.

I was lucky to be there at sunset, when most people were on the way out and the sun was setting, casting a nice glow over the place.
